During Your Classic Cleanse

  • Avoid gum or mints during these three days.  They promote the release of digestive enzymes that make you hungry!  Plus, they are riddled with toxic artificial sweeteners like Aspartame.
  • Can you eat during these three days? There’s no crying in cleansing! We have “In Case of Emergency Almonds.”  More than anything, you will miss the crunch and chewing from foods.  We did!
  • Prepare and maintain your body and mind by:
    • Dry brushing your body each morning (or before you shower) to shed dead skin cells.  You can find a body brush at Target, Whole Foods, Walgreens or any pharmacy.
    • Get a massage to get the lymphatics moving.
    • Pray, find some quiet time  (toxins are also in our thoughts) and stretch your body as well as your mind.
    • Slow down…ha! Really? This one is hard for all of us but it’s so important.  Take this time to focus on yourself.
    • Do some other forms of exercise each day but nothing too hard-core.  Your body will be going through some adjustments these 3 days.
    • Get plenty of rest.
